A good watch deserves somebody who will tell you the truth about what it needs — including the times when the truth is that it needs nothing, or that it needs more than we should be the ones to do.
Our full repair and cleaning carries a one year warranty. That is not a slogan; it is the reason we will decline work rather than take on a movement that ought to go to the manufacturer. If your watch is better served somewhere else, you will hear that at the counter instead of finding out later. And for everything we do take on, the work happens here on site, so the watch stays in this building rather than spending six weeks in a service centre's queue.

Most counter work — batteries, band sizing, crystals, clasps, stems and crowns — is the same job across brands. What changes is the case construction, the tooling and how much a mistake costs.
Where we draw the line, and why
We are an independent repair shop. We are not an authorized service centre for any brand. That matters to you in two ways, and we would rather say both out loud.
It means we are usually faster and cheaper than sending a watch away for months. It also means that on a watch still under manufacturer warranty, outside work can affect that warranty — so for a new luxury piece we will often tell you to use the manufacturer and keep your cover intact.
For a full mechanical overhaul on a high-value watch, the manufacturer or a specialist watchmaker is frequently the right call. We will say so rather than take the job.

Vintage watches
Older watches need a lighter touch — parts may be unavailable and the case may already have been opened badly by someone else. Bring it in and we will tell you what we find before doing anything.

Independent repair, and we say so plainly. We are not an authorized service centre for any manufacturer, and we do not pretend to be. Brand names above describe the watches on our bench, nothing more.
That matters in both directions. For a battery, a crystal, a stem or a bracelet link, sending a watch to the manufacturer means six to twelve weeks and a bill to match — we do the same job the same day. For a full movement overhaul on a piece under warranty, the manufacturer is the right call, and we will tell you that rather than take the work.
What we do on a luxury piece
- Battery replacement on quartz models, with resealing.
- Bracelet sizing, link removal, screw-link and pin-and-collar bracelets.
- Crystal replacement, including sapphire.
- Stem, crown and pusher replacement.
- Clasp repair — deployant, butterfly and fold-over.
- Case and bracelet cleaning, and light refinishing.
- Cases resealed with a fresh gasket where the case takes one.
What will it cost?

How long does a full service take?
Longer than a battery and less than a manufacturer's service centre. We give you a date once the watch has been opened and assessed.
Is the work guaranteed?
Our full watch repair and cleaning carries a one year warranty. If we do not think we are the right people for a particular movement, we will say so rather than take the work and hope.
Are you an authorized Rolex service centre?
No. We are an independent repair counter, not authorized by any manufacturer. For routine work like batteries, bands and crystals that is usually an advantage in time and cost. For a warranty-period service on a high-value watch, we will point you to the manufacturer.
Will independent repair void my warranty?
It can, on a watch still under manufacturer warranty. Tell us if yours is, and we will give you the honest answer for your specific watch before touching it.
Do you service automatic and mechanical watches?
We handle counter work on them. Full movement overhauls on high-value mechanical watches are usually better with a specialist, and we will tell you when that is the case.
Can you size a bracelet on a luxury watch?
Yes — screw links, pin links and friction pins. We return every link we remove.
How much is a battery in a designer watch?
The same as any quartz watch — we give you the price at the counter. Screw-down casebacks and dive watches take longer and we will tell you before starting.
