The piece people actually ask us for
Nameplates are one of the things we are known for. A name, a nickname, a child's name, two names together — in script if you want it flowing, in block if you want it read from across a room.
We keep some ready to go, but most of them are made. That is the point of them.
Size and weight are the real decisions
How long is the name? A four-letter name and a nine-letter name are different pieces entirely. How heavy do you want it in the hand — something that sits lightly, or something with presence? What chain is it going on, and does the chain need to come from us too?
ID bracelets, the same idea
Plate and chain, engraved on the front, the back, or both. Same metals, same conversation about weight, same bench.
What it costs
Prices move with the metal market and with the piece itself, so we would rather show you than quote you down a phone line. Come and see what is in the case, try it on, and we will tell you exactly where it sits. Layaway and SNAP financing are both available.
The cases change week to week, so the pictures here show the kind of thing we carry rather than a particular piece. Come and see what is in today.
Questions we get asked
How long does a nameplate take?
About one to two weeks once the design is agreed. A straightforward one sits at the short end. You get a date when you approve the drawing and it goes on your ticket.
Script or block — which is better?
Neither. Script reads as softer and takes more length for the same name; block reads clearly from further away. Come in and we will show you the same name both ways.
Can I bring a drawing or a picture?
Please do. A sketch or a photo of something you have seen gets us to what you want far faster than a description.
Do you make ID bracelets too?
Yes — plate and chain, engraved front, back or both, in the same metals.
Looking for something in particular?
Tell us roughly what you are after and we will tell you whether it is in the case, or whether it is something we would make for you. Either way you will not waste a trip.
