We are independent
Julio’s Jewelry is an independent repair shop. We are not an authorized service centre for any watch brand and we are not affiliated with the manufacturers named on this page. We say that plainly because it matters if your watch is still inside a manufacturer warranty.
What we do most
- Batteries — gasket checked, back closed properly, one year warranty on the cell.
- Band sizing — links out or in, or new holes in a leather strap.
- Pins and spring bars, which is why most watches come off a wrist.
- Straps — leather, rubber, mesh and bracelet, fitted properly.
- Crystals — mineral and sapphire, bezel refitted.
- Crowns and stems that have pulled out or stopped winding.
- Clasps and buckles that have stopped holding.
Solar, automatic and quartz
Citizen Eco-Drive and Seiko solar models have a cell that does eventually need changing, and it is not an ordinary battery. Automatics want winding or wearing rather than a cell. Quartz is a cell. Bring the watch in and we will tell you which yours is if you are not sure.
Bring it in and we will look at it
We would rather look at the piece than guess over the phone. Put it on the counter, tell us what it is doing, and we will tell you what we see and what we would do about it. You decide from there, before anything is agreed.

Do you work on my brand of watch?
Bring it in. Batteries, bands, pins, straps, crystals and crowns are everyday work here whatever is on the dial.
Are you an authorized service centre?
No. We are an independent repair shop and not affiliated with any watch manufacturer. Worth weighing if your watch is under a manufacturer warranty.
How long does a battery take?
Usually while you wait.
Can you change an Eco-Drive or solar cell?
Bring it in. It is a different cell to an ordinary battery and we will tell you what yours needs.
Will you tell me what you find before doing any work?
Always. We look at it with you at the counter, tell you what we see, and you decide.
Not sure we can fix it?
Send a couple of details and we will call you back. Or just walk in — it is quicker, and we can actually look at the piece.
Drop it off, shop the mall, wear it tonight
We are inside Orland Square Mall in Orland Park. Walk in during mall hours, no appointment. Most repairs are finished the same day and a good number while you wait.
