We are independent, and you should know that
Julio’s Jewelry is an independent repair shop. We are not an authorized Movado service centre and we are not affiliated with Movado. We say that plainly because you deserve to know it before you hand anything over, and because it matters if your piece is still inside a manufacturer warranty.
What people bring us most
- Batteries — gasket checked, back closed properly, one year warranty on the cell we fit.
- Band sizing — links out or in on a bracelet, or new holes in a leather strap.
- Museum dial crystals — a scratch or a crack on the sapphire.
- Clasps and buckles that have stopped holding.
- Leather straps that have worn through or torn at the lug.
- A watch that has started losing time, which usually points somewhere specific.

A plain dial shows a scratched crystal more than a busy one does. If yours has picked one up, bring it in and we will look at the case and tell you what we can do with it.
Batteries carry a year
If we fitted it and it dies inside twelve months, bring it back. That is what the warranty is for, and it is also why we would rather find a real cause than keep fitting cells.
Bring it in and we will look at it
We would rather look at the piece than guess over the phone. Put it on the counter, tell us what it is doing, and we will tell you what we see and what we would do about it. You decide from there, before anything is agreed.
Questions we get asked
Are you an authorized Movado service centre?
No. Julio’s Jewelry is an independent repair shop and is not affiliated with Movado. If your piece is under a manufacturer warranty, that is worth weighing before any independent work.
How long does a Movado battery take?
Usually while you wait. Bring it in during mall hours.
Is there a warranty on the battery?
One year. If we fitted it and it dies inside that, bring it back.
Can you replace a scratched Museum crystal?
Bring it in and we will look at the case and tell you what we can do.
Will you tell me what you find before doing any work?
Always. We look at it with you at the counter, tell you what we see, and you decide.

We are inside Orland Square Mall in Orland Park. Walk in during mall hours, no appointment. Most repairs are finished the same day and a good number while you wait.
