Watch Band Sizing and Strap Replacement, While You Wait

A watch that slides down your wrist keeps bad time and takes knocks. We size metal bracelets, fit new leather and rubber straps, and replace broken clasps — usually while you wait.

Sized at the counter, and you keep the links

A watch that slides halfway down your wrist is not faulty — it is unsized. Metal bracelets are made long on purpose so one size fits every buyer, which means almost every new watch needs links taken out before it sits right.

It takes about five minutes at our counter. We remove links evenly from both sides so the clasp stays centred underneath your wrist rather than drifting round to one side, and we hand you the removed links in a small bag to keep. That matters more than people think — if the watch is ever sold, passed on, or worn by someone with a bigger wrist, those links are what make it adjustable again.

Come in during mall hours.

Metal bracelets

Removing links sounds simple and often is not. Bracelets use push pins, screw links, split pins or friction pins, and forcing the wrong one bends the link or scars the finish. We identify the type first, then take out the right links from the right side so the clasp still sits centred underneath your wrist.

We give you the removed links back. Keep them — wrists change, and a bracelet missing its links is a bracelet you cannot resize later.

Leather, rubber and NATO straps

We fit new straps and replace spring bars. Bring the watch and we will measure the lug width — it is usually stamped between the lugs, but not always, and guessing by eye is how people end up with a strap that does not fit.

Curved-end straps on sports watches have to match the case, so tell us the model if you know it.

Clasps that will not stay shut

A fold-over clasp that pops open is the most common way a watch ends up on the floor. The fix is usually adjusting the tension or replacing the clasp, and it is cheap compared with replacing a watch.

Bands, bracelets and straps

Metal bracelets sized by removing or adding links — pin-and-collar, friction pin, and screw-link bracelets all included. Leather, rubber, silicone, NATO and mesh straps replaced. Spring bars, quick-release bars, end links and pins replaced when they are bent or missing.

Deployant and butterfly clasps, fold-over clasps with a push button, and broken buckle tongues are all repairable.

Smartwatch and Apple Watch bands too — sizing, swapping and replacing the pin.

Keep the links

Ask for the removed links and keep them. Wrists change, watches get handed down, and a bracelet with its original links is worth more than one without. We hand them back in a small bag on the ticket unless you tell us otherwise.

What will it cost?

Is it a link bracelet, a mesh, or a leather strap? Are the links pinned, screwed, or held with split pins? How many need to come out, and from which side? Does the clasp already have micro-adjustment in it? Solid links, or folded metal? That is exactly why we would rather see it than guess at it. Come and find us at Orland Square Mall — most repairs are finished in thirty to sixty minutes while you are walking around.

Straight to your question

Questions we get asked

How long does band sizing take?

About five minutes while you wait.

Do I get the removed links back?

Yes, bagged and handed to you. Keep them — if the watch is ever sold or passed on, those links are what make it fit the next person.

Can you size a bracelet I bought online?

Yes. Bring the watch and any spare links that came in the box.

How many links can come out?

As many as the bracelet allows while keeping the clasp centred. We fit it on your wrist before you leave.

Do you fit straps you did not sell me?

Yes, bring the strap in. If it is the wrong lug width we will tell you before fitting.

My spring bar broke and the watch fell off. Can that be fixed?

Yes, and it is worth doing both sides at once — spring bars age at the same rate, so if one has gone the other is usually not far behind.
