Diamond is diamond. Moissanite throws more fire than a diamond does and costs a fraction, which some people love and some people can spot across a room. Cubic zirconia is the sensible answer for a first pair, for a child, or for anything that is going to get lost.
They look different in daylight, under mall lighting, and against your own skin. That is the entire reason to come and look rather than order a picture off a screen.
Backs matter more than people think
Friction backs are fine until they are not. If you have lost an earring before, or you sleep in them, or they are a gift for someone who will, ask us about screw backs — we fit them here and we can convert a pair you already own.
Hoops, and the hinge that gives out first
We carry hoops in a range of diameters and weights. Worth knowing before you buy: on a hoop the hinge or the catch is what fails, not the gold. We repair those at our own bench, so if it ever goes you are coming back to us rather than to a mailing address.

Questions we get asked
What is the difference between moissanite and a diamond?
Moissanite is a different stone entirely, not a fake diamond. It throws more coloured fire and costs a great deal less. Some people prefer the look. Come and see the two side by side under the same light and decide for yourself.
Do you sell cubic zirconia?
Yes. It is the sensible choice for a first pair, for children, or for anything that is going to be worn somewhere it might get lost.
Can I get screw backs instead of friction backs?
Yes, and we can convert a pair you already own at our own bench, usually while you wait.
Do you carry earrings for children?
We carry small studs suited to it. Bring them in and we will show you what is appropriate.
