About a finger’s width of movement. The head should stay on top of your wrist rather than sliding round, but the band should not be pressing. Come in and we will fit it on you rather than work from a number.
Getting more room
- Adding links — if we can match yours, or if you kept the ones removed when it was first sized. This is why keeping them matters.
- The micro-adjustment in the clasp — many bracelets have two or three positions built in and most people never knew.
- An extension link — a small piece that adds a half size, useful when a full link is too much.
- A different strap — leather, rubber or mesh, if the bracelet simply cannot go further.
Did you keep the links?
If the watch was sized for you when you bought it, the removed links may be in the box it came in. Have a look before you come in — matching original links is always better than sourcing new ones, and on some bracelets it is the only way.
Wrists change
Bigger in summer, bigger in the evening, and they change over years. If yours has been tight for a while it is not you imagining it.
