What comes in most
- Ring sizing — up or down, including bands with stones all the way round.
- A stone that has fallen out or is moving in its setting.
- Prongs that have worn, bent or caught on clothing.
- Chains that have broken and clasps that have stopped closing.
- Earring posts and backs, which is everyday work here.
- Cleaning and rhodium — white gold that has gone warm, or build-up under the stones.
Why people bring it here instead
Because it is the same mall, the work happens at our bench rather than going in an envelope, and you can talk to the person holding the piece. Most of it is same day and a good part while you wait.
Costume and plated pieces too
Plated, gold filled, stainless, base metal with stones set in it. Put it on the counter. We will look at what it is and tell you what we can do with it.
Bring it in and we will look at it
We would rather look at the piece than guess over the phone. Put it on the counter, tell us what it is doing, and we will tell you what we see and what we would do about it. You decide from there, before anything is agreed.
