What comes in most
- A snapped or bent post, replaced in matching gold.
- Backs that will not hold — a worn butterfly, or a post that has thinned where it grips.
- A hoop that has stopped clicking shut or latching.
- Screw-back fittings that have stripped, repaired or converted.
- Clip-ons with a spring that has gone.
- Heavy earrings converted to a larger back or a support disc so they sit up.
- Pierced-to-clip conversions and the other way round.
A back that will not hold is usually the post
People come in for a new back when the actual problem is that the post has worn smooth, or thinned, where the back grips it. A new back on a worn post falls off again. We look at both.
Bring both, even if only one is broken
They have had the same years of wear. If one post has gone, the other is usually not far behind, and matching the gold across a pair is easier with both in hand.
Heavy earrings that droop
If a favourite pair pulls forward and sits at an angle, that is a fixable thing — a larger back, a support disc, or a different fitting. Bring them in and we will show you the options.

Should I bring both earrings?

Can you convert pierced earrings to clip-ons?
Yes, and the other way round. Bring them in.
