Julio’s Jewelry is an independent repair shop. We are not an authorized James Avery service centre and we are not affiliated with James Avery. We say that plainly because you deserve to know it before you hand anything over, and because it matters if your piece is still inside a manufacturer warranty.
What people bring us most
- Ring sizing — up or down, including the wider textured bands.
- Charms that have come off a bracelet, and jump rings that have opened.
- Clasps that have stopped holding on a charm bracelet.
- Sterling silver that has gone dark, cleaned and brightened without flattening the texture.
- A stone that has come loose in a ring or a pendant.

Textured bands and how we finish them
A lot of James Avery designs have texture, an antique finish or a pattern that runs all the way round. A ring like that cannot be polished flat after sizing, so the finish has to be matched back. That is the part worth talking about at the counter before we start.
Charm bracelets carry weight
Once a bracelet is full, all of it hangs off one clasp and a handful of jump rings. When one gives, the rest are usually not far behind, so we check them all while the bracelet is with us and tell you what we find.
Bring it in and we will look at it
We would rather look at the piece than guess over the phone. Put it on the counter, tell us what it is doing, and we will tell you what we see and what we would do about it. You decide from there, before anything is agreed.

No. Julio’s Jewelry is an independent repair shop and is not affiliated with James Avery. If your piece is under a manufacturer warranty, that is worth weighing before any independent work.
Can you size a textured James Avery ring?
Bring it in. The finish has to be matched back afterwards and we will show you what to expect.
Can you put a charm back on?
Yes, and we check the other jump rings while it is with us.
Can you clean silver that has gone dark without flattening the texture?
Yes, that is the point of doing it on a bench rather than at home.
Will you tell me what you find before doing any work?
Always. We look at it with you at the counter, tell you what we see, and you decide.
