Three ways to do it
- Add matching links. The invisible option — we add chain of the same style, karat and colour so the whole thing reads as one piece.
- Fit an extender. A short adjustable length at the clasp that lets you wear it at two or three different lengths. Useful if you layer.
- Fit a longer clasp assembly, which buys you a little and tidies up a tired clasp at the same time.
Matching matters here
A generic extender in the wrong colour gold sits at the back of your neck where you cannot see it and everyone else can. We match the style, the karat and the colour to what you have, and on rose gold especially that takes looking at the actual shade rather than reaching for standard stock.
Wear it in and tell us where you want it
Length is personal and it changes with a neckline. Come in wearing it, tell us where you want it to sit, and we will mark it with you at the counter. That is far more reliable than a number of inches.
If you layer
Two or three chains want different lengths so they do not sit on top of each other and tangle. Bring all of them and we will work the set out together.
Pendant chains
If there is a pendant on it, bring that too. It changes where the chain sits and it lets us check the bail and the weight while the chain is on the bench.
Bring it in and we will look at it
Every piece is different and length work especially so. Put it on the counter, tell us what has happened, and we will tell you what we see and what we would do about it. You decide from there, before anything is agreed.
