What this site measures
We use Microsoft Clarity, a free analytics tool, on juliosjewelry.com. It records how people move through the site so we can tell what is working and what is confusing. What it collects is the ordinary web traffic kind of thing:
- Which pages were opened, and in what order
- Where on a page people tapped or clicked, and how far down they scrolled
- Whether the visit came from a phone, a tablet or a computer, and which browser
- A rough location, at the city or region level, worked out from the network connection
- Which search or link brought the visit to us
What it does not collect
It does not collect your name, your address, or anything you would call personal. Anything typed into a field on the site is masked before it ever leaves the browser, so it is not readable to us or to Microsoft. There is no payment processing on this site at all, so no card details exist here to collect.
We do not sell, rent or trade information about visitors. We are a repair shop in a mall, not a data business.
Cookies
Clarity sets a small cookie so that a person returning to the site is not counted twice. Your browser settings control cookies, and the site works fine if you turn them off.
Session recordings
Clarity can replay an anonymous recording of a visit. That means the movement of a cursor or a finger through the pages, not a recording of a person. Typed text is masked, as above. We look at these to find spots where the site gets in the way, and nothing more.
Who else sees it
Microsoft operates Clarity and processes this data on their systems under their own privacy terms. Google also reports to us, in aggregate, how often our pages appear in search results and how often they are clicked. Neither of those tells us who you are.
When you contact us
If you call, email, or walk in and leave a repair with us, we keep what we need to do the work and get the piece back to you. A name, a way to reach you, and a note about the piece. That stays with us.
